BANDUNG MOUNTAIN TOUR
One day tour Duration: 07.00 - 20.00 Bandung is situated on a Plateau 768 meters above sea level, with a cool climate throughout the year, 150 km South East of Jakarta. A pleasant drive via highway passing by mountain areas, paddy fields, rubber and tea plantations makes this excursion worthwhile. This tour features the following attractions:
MT. TANGKUBAN PERAHU CRATER
The "drive-in volcano" of Mt. Tangkuban Perahu is Bandung's famous tourist volcano, featuring splendid scenery. It is the only crater in Java accessible by car. The volcano today is an impressively large, beautiful grey-coloured bowl which can be viewed from its rim, which is called kawah ratu, meaning "Queen's crater". Volcanic sulfur fumes and smoke still emanate from its depth. Visitors can also enjoy the green panoramic area around the crater.
TEA PLANTATION
The tea plantation has an amazing natural beauty; the surrounding landscape of green hills is a paradise for photography.
LEMBANG FLOATING MARKET
This floating market is on a natural lake, located near a mountain. It offers a chance to relax and spend the day with the family, enjoying the cool atmosphere of Lembang. Stroll the park and experience a culinary adventure in the market. The market also has some souvenir shops in traditional buildings, where you will find toys and other local handicrafts. The majority of this park is the lake itself, and the area has a beautiful landscape. We reach the floating market by strolling around the lake using a path that takes us through pretty gardens. We will then witness lots of food stalls, where the chefs cook and sell their food. Each food stall is on a small boat tied up to the dock. While walking around, we will be able to see from one stall to the next. The food stalls offer us a good opportunity to experience a variety of fresh, traditional Indonesian dishes all in one place.
LUWAK COFFEE
Luwak coffee is produced at a specialised farm. The luwak or the Asian Palm Civet is given coffee beans to eat, and once passed becomes a prized delicacy. Here, one of the employees will explain the process of luwak coffee production. The coffee, once eaten by the luwak, is cleaned and processed into coffee which is of a high quality and very delicious. You can take pictures with baby luwak. Here is a coffee shop for those of you who love coffee - either enjoy the coffee on site or take some home.
